Divorce Rate Declining Due to Bad Economy & Real Estate Market?

In a recent study by the University of Virginia of approximately 1,000 couples between the ages of 18-45, 34% were worried about being able to make their bills, and 12% are facing foreclosure. Now I always assumed that one of the leading causes of divorce was related to financial problems.

That’s why I was shocked when I saw this statement:

Yet when asked if they had considered divorce or separation, but put it aside as a result of the recession, 38 percent said they did just that.

So apparently, couples are postponing their divorce until they can get into a more favorable financial position. Huh?!?
