It is interesting to look at some of the local housing markets out there, and how they have performed through this downturn in real estate. And while the average price of homes is down, the typical more expensive and desirable markets are in the same areas, and the bad markets tend to be in the same areas as well.
Take a look at what Coldwell Banker has to say about it:
“This report clearly illustrates the local nature of real estate. Massachusetts has a range of housing markets and overall has a higher average home price than other parts of the country because of our stronger economy and higher employment numbers,” said Rick Loughlin, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage New England.
